Richard's not a beach guy, unless it's Myrtle Beach (the ocean equivalent of Gatlinburg and Niagara Falls). He loves the kitch-factor of Myrtle, and Greg Norman's Grille ain't half-bad either. One of Lisa's professional organizations often has an annual conference in Myrtle Beach, so this has become a favorite place over the years. Ocean Creek Resort in North Myrtle has been our home away from home on many occasions.

Lisa loves the beach, and she's been able to convince Richard to try out some additional beach-y places as well. Several Christmases have been spent on the Georgia Gold Coast (thank you, Greyfield Inn on Cumberland Island). And we can't say enough about the December rates at the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, Florida (helps us to afford those de-lish Sunday brunches and Chef's Table dinners there!).

Alaska provided a beautiful backdrop for our post-Elvis-wedding honeymoon. We'll never forget the semi-Titanic experience at one point in that not-always-smooth-sailing cruise! Wow! How bad was it???? They actually canceled the Midnight Buffet!!!!!!
