We got married by Elvis! (Or one of his most excellent impersonators). Lisa was not too keen on a traditional wedding and was tossing around ideas. Believe it or not, her dad John Varner came up with the ingenious idea of getting married in Las Vegas. It fit right in with his major hobby of playing poker! (I guess his alternative idea would have been a golf course wedding, of course).

And what a great idea it was! Who else can say that their wedding was preceded by a trip to the Liberace Museum and a tattoo parlor? Who else can say that they got to play a game of craps and sing along with Elvis during their wedding ceremony? And who else can say that they spent their wedding night in a big ol’ suite (with a shamrock-shaped jacuzzi) that overlooked the twinkling lights of Vegas?

A great time was had by all….Lisa and Richard and 20 family members and friends. What fun and excitement, and we didn’t even lose all our money! There’s just nothing quite like getting married in Las Vegas, by Elvis (or one of his impersonators)!!!!
