Lisa is a Varner. She didn't change her name when she got married. She figured once a Varner, always a Varner. Plus she was too lazy to tackle the arduous-sounding tasks of changing her name on all those many documents (e.g., social security card, driver's license, etc). So far, so good.
Richard and Lisa enjoy time with Lisa's family, including her mom Mickey, her Dad John and her brother Jay. Trips to see her family in Ohio always include a trip to Young's Dairy for oh-so-good ice cream. And many a holiday was spent at the Varner's condo in Biloxi, MS. Hurricane Katrina has put a stop to that temporarily, but not for long if we can help it.
Richard has learned many things from Lisa's family, including casino buffet meal strategies (get in line early to beat the crowd and get the best pick of things!). These strategies come in handy for the traditional Varner family Thanksgiving dinners at the casino buffet. And no dishes to wash afterward!
